The Avenues East Cobb
This project involved performing edge milling, Perma Flex paving, then re-striping a very high profile shopping center in East Cobb County. Due to the layout and high traffic volume of the center, traffic control and signage was very important. As one can see in the pictures we used “detour” signs and “paving tomorrow” signs to keep tenants and customers aware of traffic control and paving operations throughout the course of the project. Color coded maps were also supplied to the management and every tenant. Since edge milling was performed at night in advance of the paving we used “trip hazard” signage to warn pedestrian traffic of any potential trip hazards prior to paving. The management was so impressed with our planning and signage that they are making it mandatory on any future paving projects within their company.
