PARKSIDE AT CARTER GROVE-CARTERSVILLE, GA

Parkside at Carter Grove is a large subdivision development currently under construction in Cartersville, GA.   The construction of the infrastructure always precedes the home building.  Once the concrete curb and gutters are installed, one of our base crews started the final preparation of the sub-base. On this particular project, approximately 4,500 tons of GAB base material was installed to grade and compaction levels reached. Our paving crew then mobilized and paved the base with approximately 1,500 tons of 12.5 mm asphalt binder material.  Once all homes are constructed, we will place the final 1 ½ inches of 9.5 mm asphalt topping.   Specifications for this project called for 6 inches GAB base, 2 inches 12.5 mm asphalt binder, and 1 ½ inches 9.5 mm asphalt topping.
